Goal of the Club: Fanshawe Rotaract Club connects individuals to share ideas with community leaders, enhance leadership skills, career development, and engagement in meaningful service. Members strive to uphold integrity, foster goodwill, and encourage peace by promoting global understanding through teamwork and collaborative service initiatives with professionals, businesses, and community leaders.

Founded in 2023, the Fanshawe Rotaract Club is a student-run organization affiliated with Rotary International. We strive to make a difference on campus, in our local community, and globally — one project at a time. History of Rotary

1905

Rotary founded by Paul P. Harris in Chicago — the first service club.

1912

Rotary becomes international with clubs in Canada & the UK.

1917

The Rotary Foundation is created to support global humanitarian efforts.

1945

Rotary helps draft the UN Charter at its founding conference.

1968

The first Rotaract Club is founded in North Carolina.

1985

Launch of PolioPlus — Rotary’s mission to eradicate polio worldwide.

2019

Rotaract becomes an official part of Rotary International membership.
